Letter from Diane Canova

(Full monthly briefing)

October 13, 2009

Dear Partners,

Are you looking to get more involved in the efforts to increase your “action” around ACTTION? Consider recruitment! Talk to your colleagues, constituents and friends to encourage other organizations to join and support the National Working Group.

Recruitment can expand our reach and message, and draw much-needed attention to the need for tobacco cessation efforts in every sector. Tobacco taxes and bans are affecting everyone, from communities to states to the federal government, so don’t hesitate to talk about the Call for ACTTION recommendations with those you know. They may have questions and want to get involved, so let’s invite them to join us in our quest to ensure access to tobacco cessation treatment for all tobacco users looking to quit.

As part of your recruitment strategy, please consider passing this email along to those who you feel would be interested, and have them sign up on www.acttiontoquit.com to receive this newsletter, become an endorser of the Call for ACTTION, and get involved in our effort.

Regards,

Diane Canova
