North Carolina Youth Smoking Hits All-time Low

2009 year end reports show that the smoking rates in North Carolina have decreased significantly. Governor Perdue stated that there are a total of 53,000 fewer teens smoking now than there were in 2003. Some of the reasons suggested include new school anti-smoking programs, higher cigarette taxes, and positive peer pressure among teenagers. Read more.
